Question : A chest x-ray revealed thickening at bottom of lungs. What could that mean?
Brief Answer:
several possible causes
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to hcm.
It may indicate several causes, some are benign but some are more serious.
It may be sign of lung fibrosis due to chronic infection or due to smoking.
It may also be sign of pneumonia or copd.
But it can be sign of some more serious lesions such as tumors, which is not likely but possible so you should do CT scan to rule this out.
Wish you good health. Regards
