I read your question and i understand your concern. Right submandibular lymph nodal swelling with ear pain and swallowing difficulties and ear pain with dry productive cough and low grade fever are all very suggestive of upper airways involvement. These are mostly viral and self resolve. I would say antibiotics can wait as your symptoms have already improved a lot. Just drink adequate fluids, do aspirin and salt water gargles and prefer hot beverages like herbal tea mixed with honey etc. It will help sooth the throat and help the reduction of dry cough. COntinue taking ibuprofen it will reduce the inflammation as well as ear pain.
As far as itchiness is concerned take some antihistamines for it and see if it responds to it. other wise get it assessed .
