Question : I have a cancer phobia. I am 41. I am so concerned about llumps in my upper thighs. I am overweight. I am working on it though with a loss of 12 pounds. The lumps don't feel really hard. How likely is it to be like a soft tissue sarcoma???

Brief Answer:
they're probably normal lymph nodes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

lymph nodes in the upper thighs (the groin area) are commonly encountered and should not be considered abnormal unless they're too big (more than 2 cm) or too hard (feel like rocks) or you have local or other symptoms. Sarcomas and other malignancies when they invade the lymph nodes, they usually make the very hard. They feel like stones in the touch.

Since I can't examine you from afar (obviously) I suggest you visit your primary care physician for examination and confirmation (probably) of the benign origin of these lumps...

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
