Question: Hi,
I noticed maroon coloured stools for the last couple of days. The only change in my diet: I started taking fish oil supplements for my dry eyes. Could this be the reason. Quite concerned...

Brief Answer:
no need to worry about it.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns..
I don't really think it concerns you. Stop worrying about it. One should be concerned only if
There are soft black stools.
There is fresh blood in stools.
Apart from this , there is nothing to worry about. Fish oil supplement doesn't change stool colour normally.
Stay calm and consume regular nutritional food with high fibre content.
Hope it helps , if you still have any feel free to ask
