Question : I had a pt with massive tumors mets throughout her abdomen which started having blood in her stools and vomiting blood, hematochezia; I've seen pt's who have bleed out from stragulation of the aorta. Is there any such term?

No,there is no term strangulation of aorta but there is rupture of aorta and this is serious condition which is lethal within 12 hours. Also,in this case there is possible tumor rupture into bowels and this could explain symptoms. Wish you good health.
