Question : An unknown aneurysm on my left temporal area caused emergency surgery 15 years ago. I miraculously survived. TBI resulted in intense emotions. I did not have memory problems then, but now I am 67 years old and I've started having trouble with word-finding. Could this be a longterm result of the surgery? Or is this the typical symptoms of aging?
Brief Answer:
Get investigated as advised

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Memory impairment at this age may be dementia probably alzheimers.
Other causes should be evaluated based on clinical examination by a neurologist.
You should get investigated for blood sugar, Thyroid profile, vitamin B 12, renal function test.
Brain imaging may be required too.
Operation should not have major effects now if it was normal before.
