Question : I had a positive TB test & am taking B2 and I don't know what the 300mg medicine is, I filled my pill box and shredded the label. I've been taking them for 2 months, recently I have had memory loss, grumpy. I also had eye surgery about the same time and am using lumigan drops in my eyes every night. My question is do you think any of this could be causing my problem with forgetfulness and being grumpy. Thank you for your time. XXXX

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
The medicine of 300 mg must be Isoniazid. Or a combination of Isoniazid and Rifampicin.
Memory problems are less likely to occur with anti Tubercular drug. However Ethambutol can cause optic neuritis and vision problems.
Important here is to rule out any tuberculomas of eyes or brain which can coexist and cause such problems.
An MRI brain and Eye examination can reveal this.
If you have any further query please ask me.
