Question : time to time i get this weird aftertaste in my mouth, almost like tasting metal, it comes and it goes, i feel fine, but wondering if i should check with specialist? thanks. D

The weird after taste in your mouth (like metal) that comes and goes without any other complain could be related to:
- stomach hyperacidity problems (GERD or gastritis)
- gallbladder sludge or other issues
- bad teeth or bad oral hygiene
I advise to
- keep good oral hygiene
- brush your teeth after each meal
- eat healthy
If still persisting, gastroenterologist should be consulted further to rule out GI issues as mentioned above.

I'm very good brushing and flossing my teeth and keep my oral hygiene under control), i just saw my dentist and had clean XXXXXXX of my dental state. I will ask my family doctor (who is new) about stomach hyperacidity (as i do take time to time) omeroprazol (when i have heart burn) or any other suggestions that you provided. I appreciate your advise. All the best. D

Taking into account that you take omeprazole (PPI inhibitor) from time to time, then, the metallic taste is due to hyperacidity of the stomach. Most probably acid reflux or gastritis.
Should check out by upper endoscopy.
Diet and lifestyle changes are also important in managing this kind of stomach illness.
