Brief Answer:
Are you on medications?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this metallic smell that your stools have. I will like to know if you are taking any medications including supplements. If yes, please, send the names to me. A stool that smells metallic can only be caused by food or a drug. This is the area we should dig into to see what has changed and what the possible cause is.

The next thing to do is also to observe to see is this smell is persistent or goes away. If it goes away, then there is no need for any further investigations. If it persists, only at that time are we going to launch more investigations.

I hope to here from you. I wish you well. Let me know what the response to my question is.
