Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I passed carefully through your husband's medical history and would like to explain that his chest pain doesn't seem to be cardiac related.

A migrating chest pain (left to middle) that is exacerbated mainly when he is at rest, but disappears while on physical exertion (waking, etc) confirms the above conclusion.

Most likely, it may be an underlying consequence of his acute upper airway respiratory inflammation/infection: a musculoskeletal, or pleural/pericardial inflammation.

Coming to this point, I recommend discussing with his attending doctor for the opportunity of a careful medical physical exam and some additional medical tests:

- complete blood count,
- PCR,
- ESR,
- CK-MB & Troponin,
- chest X ray study

Any anti-inflammatory pain killer drugs (naproxen, ibuprofen, etc.) could be beneficial in this regard.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further uncertainties, feel free to ask me again.

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
