What Causes Mild Left-sided Lower Back Pain Radiating Towards Testicle And Hamstring?

Question: Dear doctor. I have a medical condition that is returning on a weekly to monthly basis. Especially at night I get mild pains of lower back on the left side, proceeding to left testicle, then to back of my leg where hamstring is, down to front and left side of calf where the pain is stronger and prevents me from sleeping, down to the heel. When this happens, I have urge to shake the leg or start walking which helps. Putting pressure on the calf also helps. I have a feeling that this however originates under my left rib or in my left back. I also feel more internal heat when this is happening.

Brief Answer:
It is most probably due to restless leg syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
I have gone through your history and in my opinion your symptoms are most probably due to a medical condition known as restless leg syndrome.
You should consult a neurologist or sleep specialist for the same.
You should consult your treating family physician and get yourself examined and investigations done to established the diagnosis.
The medicine are not very effective in treating the condition but Parkinson's drug are effective in some cases.
Lifestyle changes are effective in treating this condition like going to bed late in night, take hot and cold bath, leg massage is also effective, diversion of mind, make the room more comfortable place to sleep.
Other causes in your case it can be due to sciatica pain or deep vein thrombosis.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I would also like to know whether this can be somehow related to cold since I also need to frequently urinate when this leg pain happens and also if it might be related that my legs feel very cold sometimes. Thank you
