Question : Have not gotten a period in three months pro menopause. In the past 2 years have had tremendous hairloss. Could it be related to hormones. Should I get blood work done for hormones?
Brief Answer:
Hormone tests
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Good day.
At 49 years, absence of periods may indicate menopause. Noted your history of menopause.
It may be worthwhile doing the hormone tests
1) Fasting Estradiol (E2), FSH
2) Thyroid function test
3) FAsting blood sugar
If FSH is low or normal, you may also get a Prolactin done
