What Causes Mottled Red Palms?
Question: Dear Doctors of HealthCareMagic
I would kindly wihs to ask for a second opinion, as I get an answer from HealthCareMagic (for which I'm grateful) but also a conflicting opinon from another source.
The palms of my hands, especially the left one, get a kind of mottled-red appearance. It's a permanent pattern but never seen when I lay in bed, mostly subtle indoors and mostly seen outdoors. I may had it for a long time but less pronounced. I don't have any reticular changes on any other part of the body. I was wondering if it is livedo reticularis or Bier spots or some palmar erythema or just my natural circulation pattern. It may be worth of not that I am in a fairly stressful moment in my life and that I have lost (through changes in diet, willingly) ca. 66 pounds) in the last 7-8 months.
Image (IMG_3543) show this pattern far less pronounced when sitting in a bus.

This mottled pattern could be due to reduced blood flow on the affected side. I suggest you to measure pulse rate and blood pressure of each limb seperately.

Does it look like palmar erythema?
Also I forgot to add that the redness may be somehow more pronounced in warmer temperature.

Sometimes fingers feel swollen a bit. No pain, itching or burning .
