Brief Answer:
could be lymph node or lipoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
The lump could indicate a lymph node or lipoma which is a fat deposit.
Why don't you send us some pictures ?
If it is painful it may need a clinical examination to rule out infection or abscess.

Brief Answer:
looks like lymph node

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the reports.

Picture looks like a lymph node to me.

If not painful and not increasing in size it will settle by itself ( reasons can be any ear nose throat infection or dandruff.....check with your doctor for ruling these infections ).

No precautions required apart from avoiding local injury

If it increases in size it may need further evaluation like FNAC or biopsy.
