What Causes Muscle Aches And Cramping In Several Spots On Body?

default
Posted on Tue, 8 Dec 2015
Question: I am experiencing muscle aches and cramping in several spots on my body for two weeks now, especially in the rib cage area. What do I possibly have?

I suffered through what was diagnosed as a kidney infection a little over a month ago. I was treated with IV antibiotics at the hospital and oral antibiotics at home for seven days. My white blood cell count at that time was 18,000.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to low thyroid levels

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

There are two parts of your query.
* A high WBC count indicates infection. Treatment with antibiotics should have taken care of it completely.
* The bodyache is likely not be due to muscle fatigue. However, I would insist you to get your thyroid profile checked as low thyroid hormone levels can also give rise to such symptoms.
