What Causes Muscle And Joint Pain, Hot Flashes, Diarrhea, Headache And Back Pain?

Question: I have multiple symptoms. Muscle and joint pain. Hot flashes, flu symptoms but not every day. When it goes away it's like I was never sick. Upper stomach pain sometimes results in diarrhea or constipation, severe headaches every day, nothing helps. I wake up with headaches and severe back pain. I just discontinued Boniva as I had two teeth extracted and my jaw got messed up. I just discontinued taking Lipitor because of severe muscle cramps. Major case of brain fog. I know that I have bone issues, my foot has painful Spurs which I plan to have removed next month if I am not seriously sick. I was diagnosed with RA about 20 years ago, had one joint replacement and never had another flair. My blood work came up negative for RA. An ANA test came up positive for Lupus but another test was taken that came back negative. I have trouble sleeping as I wake up in pain. I have spasms in the back of my head. Upper back muscle pain really bad when I move or breathe. It went away within two days. No skin rashes. A lot of fatigue. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Is it fibromyalgia

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, I will like to summarize your symptoms here-->

1. Myalgias
2. hot flushes
3. Altered bowel habits
4. Headaches
5. Disturbed sleep
6. Fatigue

Well, considering most of your tests have been negative, the symptoms do fit in with this condition called Fibromyalgia. I would give you the site and you can read on it. www.rheumatology.org--> Patient education--> Fibromyalgia

However, I would like to know a few more questions.. Have you experienced weight loss/apetite loss/any hair fall?

2. When did you acheive your menopause

3. Was any other blood tests done? CPK/25 hydroxyvitamin D 3/ESR and CRP?

DO let me know for more queries. Would guide you further from here

Brief Answer:
Bone denisometry

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Well, it is recommended you get a Dexa scan done at 2 sites...Femur and L1-L4. Since it has been a long duration for your menses, we need to see and rule out osteoporosis which can be troubling your spine
