Question : Hi Doctor,
At 24th week now I'm doing fine except few glitches. I'm having lots of knee and thigh and pelvic muscle cramps. Even if I do 200-400m walk I develop main easily it develops sometimes even if I was taking rest.
Now yesterday I was out for few hours and had little walk and climbed staircase and today I noticed blood clots. Is it normal?

Brief Answer:
ultrasound reports needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, it is not a good to pass blood clots at this gestation especially when you were already getting cramps.
I would like to suggest you to get an ultrasound and antenatal check up from your gynecologist at the earliest.
Till then take complete bed rest and no physical activity except washroom use
Don't take it lightly as it can be an early sign of a serious problem like intrauterine growth restriction of the baby or increased blood pressure.
Also kindly upload your last ultrasound report so that I have an idea about the placenta and growth of the baby.
Waiting for your response.

Dr Manisha

Thank you doctor for your reply. One correction: I mistakenly described gluteal muscle pain as pelvic muscle cramps does that change anything?
I've uploaded the report of last ultrasound (anomaly scan) as well.

Brief Answer:
normal ultrasound
Detailed Answer:
Most welcome.
I have seen the scan reports and relieved that placenta is normal and is rightly placed.
Gluteal muscle pain is common in pregnancy.
Even if there was no pain at all preceding this bleeding event the management will stay the same and a fresh ultrasound is still needed.
Hope for the best.
