Question : Hi, Dr. Grief. I took Crestor for 4 days and stopped it today but I still feel the muscle pains I began feeling.
How long will they take to go away? Especially the right arm. Thank you in advance. XXXX

Hi dear.Thanks for giving an opportunity to address your query.
It takes 2-3 days for Crestor to be completely washed out from your body from the time you have stoped the medication.Do not panic.Your muscle pain shall gradually subside much early within this time.
However I would like to share that creatine kinase enzyme levels rise 10 times more than normal limits in case of statin induced myopathy.Recent studies have proved that muscle pain due to statin are not that common as they are presumed to be unless until proven.
