Brief Answer:
Take antispasm medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.

I have gone through your question and the medical history in detail.

I feel that the neuropathy that you are experiencing may be due to long standing diabetes.
Generally,in diabetics, the myelin sheath covering the peripheral nerves often tends to undergo degeneration causing neuropathy.

Muscle spasms can occur due to calcium and carnitine deficiency affecting the normal muscle metabolism, and hence, their smooth functioning.

Though you are already taking gabapentin, but its been just 3 days since you have started taking it.
Gabapentin usually takes 15-20 days to show its positive effect.I suggest you to continue taking gabapentin as you have been prescribed.

To speed up the recovery process, you can take multivitamins like neurobion forte along with calcium and vitamin D supplements.

These should be taken once a day, preferably at bed time.

Muscle relaxants and L carnitine tablets will give you relief from spasms.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any further doubts that you may have.

Thank you.

Wish you a healthy life and a speedy recovery.
