Brief Answer:
need to do an endoscopy

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

The symptoms you have described definitely need further evaluation. Is there any other symptoms like pain or weight loss? any history of tobacco or alcohol use?

Some causes which may be responsible are gastritis (stomach inflammation) or stomach ulcer, esophageal ulcers or stricture, tumor in stomach or esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux and a host of other problems.

I would recommend a thorough physical check followed by an upper endoscopy. That can diagnose most common causes. If that is normal, a trial of acid reducing drugs with meds to boost stomach movement (prokinetics ) should help.

Stress also exacerbates these symptoms so that should be controlled as well.

Hope this helps. I will be available for follow-up.

Regards
