                                            Question : Hello Doctor,
I had unprotected sex with my partner on 02nd July 2017...within 6 hours of the act, she consumed an Ipill...after consuming the pill, till today (10th July '17), she has not felt any kind of pain, nausea or uneasiness...She had her last period starting on 18th XXXXXXX 2017 and ended on 22nd XXXXXXX '17. As of today, 10th July 2017, she is feeling slightly sick and crampy. She has also not had any withdrawal bleeding yet. As per her regular cycle (25 days), she is supposed to get her period on/around 13th July '17. Are there chances of pregnancy?

                                    Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy are low.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
After taking the emergency pill within 12 hours the chances of pregnancy are less than 3%. the absence of any symptoms or withdrawal bleeding does not decrease its efficacy. No need to worry. The mild cramps will gradually subside on its own. The next periods may be delayed by a few days.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
