What Causes Nausea And Burning Sensation In The Abdominal Area?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Nov 2016
Question: I woke up with a burning feeling in my gut and started to throw up. It is all a brown liquid and some blood. It continues to burn in my mouth. I also have an excess of mucus from my nose. I have vomited 3-4 times in a 15 to 30 min. timeframe. I began taking Zantac for gerd yesterday and today. Is this a reaction to this? It is very acidy tasting. Thank you. XXXXX

I haven't heard from anyone. I am thinking I should get to the ER. Please respond.

Brief Answer:
go to emergency

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Yes, I think you should go to emergency. Bleeding like this can be a sign of an ulcer or something more serious going on in your stomach.
Vomiting blood can be very serious and you need to be evaluated to make sure that you get appropriate treatment and care.
Do not hesitate.
Go to emergency now for an evaluation
I wish you the best,

thank you. that is what I did. I wasn't around to get your answer earlier, but again, thank you for responding.

It wasn't an ulcer, it had to do with gerd and the acid rising up. It took lots of tests and a lot of me choking on the acid, but I hope I am on the mend.
