What Causes Nausea And Dizziness After Injury To Toe?

Question: daughter hurt her toe badly last eve. bled a bit and throbbed. put ice on it. very painful. this morning while showering, she passed out. at that point her pain had already subsided. she became very nauseous and dizzy. resting in bed but still nauseous. no medicine taken.

Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

I have gone through your entire problem and it may be due to the pain she had last night , sometimes pain activates the sympathetic system resulting in such episodes. I dont think there is anything to worry at present . Ask her to elevate her legs a bit while resting on bed . For nausea you may give her a domperidone tablet and ask her to sleep . She will feel fine once she she gets up . Only that she does not have to get up quickly .

Also if possible get her BP checked.
