Question: Phelps
It's been a little over 2 weeks after having a neprectomy and I have dizziness and nausea ... Is that normal? I went to hospital a few days ago to see why I'm feeling this way . I did a few test including a nuclear test for my lungs in case of blood cloth but all is good... I'm worried .

Brief Answer:
No need to be worried.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. Shama and I will be answering your question.

Nephrectomy is removal of kidney and it is one of the complicated and major operations in medical field. Recovery after this surgery takes 2-3 months.

In the post operative period symptoms like nausea, dizziness.... are seen because of decreased intake of fluids, diet.... Hence first look for these things, have adequate food, take adequate fluids and rest. With these things you should be fine.

If the symptoms persist we need to rule out complications like urinary tract infection, deep vein thrombosis... Since you have consulted your doctor and you have undergone investigations and all of them have come normal, no need to be worried.

Hence with adequate rest, fluids consumption and food you will be fine.

Hoppe this is helpful to you.
