Question : I just started Prempro on Saturday....have been off of it for a month....in going back on it I have experienced nausea, exhaustion.....is this really normal?

If you go through the side effects of Prempro, the most common one is nausea / vomiting and tiredness / bloating sensation. HOW LONG DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO GET BACK INTO FEELING BETTER? I NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE, AND I WAS ON PREMPRO FOR OVER A YR.....I JUST DON'T REMEMBER HAVING SIDE EFFECTS, NONE THAT I COULD COMPLAIN ABOUT, OR FEEL CRAPPY ABOUT. I JUST FEEL CRUMMY....AND THIS IS NOT LIKE ME AT ALL. ALL I WANT TO DO IS SLEEP.....WHAT THE HECK? XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: TWO WEEKS BEFORE HORMONES GET EFFECTIVE. Detailed Answer: Wait for two weeks till the hormones get stabilized. It often happens when you stop and restart. Meanwhile, take lots of fluids and have hot soups at home. You can take mint tea or lemon drops to get over the nausea. IT could be a mild flu, in which case it would pass in a day or two.
