Question: I get nausea at night 2 hours after dinner and then stomach pain wakes me up at night, If i drink water and take a tums it goes away

Hello,

the symptoms you've mentioned are consistent with the diagnosis of duodenal ulcer. This diagnosis would be even more likely if you use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or if you have a history of peptic ulcer. The right way to find out is to do an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.

If the endoscopy is negative then checking the gallbladder would be recommended because gallbladder colic may sometimes mimic ulcers.
