                                            Question : hello doc
I am under IVF treatment. I had my 3day ET done on 6 XXXXXXX morning. yesterday on 11 XXXXXXX night I did HPT and it showed faint line. is it because of pregnancy or trigger shot given 36 hr before retrieval
I m feeling very tired nausea and vomiting. I am on progesterone injection which I took yesterday morning.
please suggest.

                                    Brief Answer:
Pregnancy likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The trigger shot given 36 hour before retrieval is not likely to cause a faint positive line so late. This faint positive result is more likely to be due to a pregnancy. It is best to continue with the progesterone shot and get your serum HCG levels measured 48 hours apart to see the doubling time for confirmation of pregnancy.

as I was too anxious I took the HPT again after I came from clinic and result came negative.
I am getting too nervous about this.

                                    Brief Answer:
It is too early to get a clear positive result.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Right now it is too early to get a clear positive result. It is best to wait for 4-5 days more and test the urine again. Usually the test comes positive with an early morning sample of urine. Just be relaxed.
Hope my answer is helpful.
