Question : My mom had cataract surgery on Wednesday, XXXXXXX 11. She's been administering the drops prescribed and had no trouble until this morning. The only change in routine is she traveled to a higher altitude from XXXXXXX to West XXXXXXX and woke up with these symptoms. She did vomit and has been nauseated and dizzy since the onset of this episode.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that your mother has undergone cataract surgery on 11th of this month.
The symptoms of dizziness, nausea and vomiting are not related to cataract surgery or its complications.
These symptoms appear to be related to her travelling probably in the form of motion sickness.
She needs to continue eye drops as prescribed by your doctor after cataract surgery.
For treatment of nausea she needs to take antiemetic drugs.
