Question : Hi, my doctor switched me to tirosint for my thyroid treatment and about an hour after I take it I start getting neck pain along with headaches. She said this should subside after my body gets adjusted to it. Be on it for over 6 mouths now, with same problems. Sometimes headaches gets so intense I feel nausea and feel like throwing up.

If you suspect a problem occurring due to tirosint, you may wish to request your endocrinologist to consider switching you back to synthroid.

It appears you did not have the headaches with synthroid.

Try to stick with one brand as it will give you consistent results.

If you do make the change, please check your blood tests for TSH and Free T4 to make sure your thyroid function is under control with the right dose.
