Question: I AM A 52 YR FEMALE WHO INITIALLY C/O NECK PAIN IN OCT 2013. BY XXXXXXX OF 14 MY SX'S ACCELERATED TO RT ARM NUMBNESS/TINGLING WEAKNESS AND DROPPING THINGS. SX'S INCREASED WHEN BENDING OVER. I STOPPED WORKING AS OF 4/10/14 AND AT THIS TIME UNABLE TO WORK DUE TO INTENSE BACK MUSCULAR PAIN. NO ONE KNOWS WHATS WRONG WITH ME. FYI I HAVE LOW THYROID SINCE 1995. FOR PAST 5YRS TSH AND T4 HAVE NOT BEEN MANAGED. ANY IDEAS OF WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE GOING ON WITH ME? I THINK POSSIBLE FIBROMYALGA. AUTOIMMUNE DISORDERS RUN "HIGH" ON MY SIDE OF THE FAMILY. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT. THANKYOU. I FORGOT TO TELL YOU MY MEDS: TYLENOL#3, ZANAFEX 4MG E ERY 6HRS, CYMBALTA 60MG QD, VALIUM 5MG, XANAX 0.025MG, PROTONIX 40MG, NORVASC 5MG, COZAAR 50MG, LEVOTHYROXINE 137MCG QD, VOLTAREN GEL 0.1%, NAPROSYN 500MG PRN. I TRY TO TAKE JUST T3, ZANAFLEX CYMBALTA PROTONIX AND IF PAIN CAN'T BE MANAGED I TAKE A VALIUM. JUST GOT RX FOR ELAVIL 50MG.

Brief Answer:
likely fibromyalgia

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and I understand your concern. With all your labs and workup inconclusive and having a strong history of autoimmune and fibromyalgia I suppose it needs a little work up for autoimmune diseases but to me it looks a likely candidacy for fibromyalgia symptoms as these are classic manifestations of fibromyalgia.
You said you got benefited from physiotherapy so continue that for indefinite period of time. It always helps. Do stretching exercises. Try yoga and pilates and Qigong. These meditation techniques work like charm. Acupuncture and acupressure can also help.
However you are on too much antidepressant and anxiolytics. These themselves trigger such symptoms and exacerbate the situation. I would strongly suggest reduction and possibly stopping of these psychological medications.
Read this interesting Alternatives for fibromyalgia treatment and get your trainer and pain management expert. I hope you will soon get an answer to your problems.
