Question: Im having neck pain hair loss no energy and general malaise. I have also begun to snore. I was found to have hashimotos 15 years ago and have only had two thyroid sonograms...I really think that since I have been found to have a nodule and several tiny nodules should I not be having an ultrasound to rule out cancer? HELP!!

Brief Answer:
You can do a needle biopsy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

The test to rule out cancer is FNAC (needle biopsy) from thyroid which is a simple test dobe in pathology labs. This test is usually done when the nodules in ultrasound scan is more than 1cm in size.

If you have any further questions i will be happy to help you
