What Causes Nervousness While On Buspar?

default
Posted on Wed, 21 Jun 2017
Question: I take 10 mg of Buspar 3 times a day. It's helped with panic attacks. But, for two years I've been under a great deal of stress with family problems. My doctor gave me a prescription for Valium. I usually take two 2 mg in the morning after I wake up. But I'm not seeing any decrease in my anxiety and depression. I'm nervous all day long and can hardly write anymore from the shaking in my hands. I drink 3 or 4 glasses of wine at night to calm my nerves and relax. What am I doing wrong? I go to bed relaxed, but then I can't fall asleep because of these family problems. My mind just goes on overload. These medications aren't helping...

Brief Answer:
Yes it is wrong

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

I have two observations about the problem

Firstly I do not think the dose of valium which is prescribed to you is sufficient. 4 mg of valium is just equal to one tablet of 0.25 of xanax which is not sufficient for most individuals. In my opinion the dose should be increased to at least 10 mg to have considerable effect.

Secondly use of alcohol creating more problems than help. Although it makes you relaxed in night but during day when there is low concentration you develop these so called shaky hands and difficulty in doing your routine work.

I hope this helps you in gaining more insight about the ongoing problem.
Wish you great XXXXXXX ahead.
Thanks and regards.
