What Causes Night Sweats, Light Golden Brown Stool Along With Mucus?

Posted on Thu, 26 Nov 2015
Question: I have two questions.

1) I have had night sweats for the past two weeks. The night sweats occur on the back of my head and chest only, no where else. I do not have a fever. The only two nights the sweats did not occur were nights I drank alcohol. I had my primary care doctor pull all routine bloodwork, thyroid, prostate, pancreas enzymes and abdominal ultrasound and all came back normal. Could it be cancer? I am worried it could be.

2) Also, I have had this fear that I have pancreatic cancer and I noticed my stool has been a light golden brown color and I am worried that potentially my bile is being blocked partially, could that be the case? The stool also releases a mucus appearance when i move it with an object. I do eat a high fiber diet that involves alot of granola.

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
hello dear. Please do not worry. You are fine

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. First of all let me tell you the definition of nigh sweats. It is profuse sweating all over the body which drench your undergarments at night.
So i dont think you had nigh sweats. It was was simply due to alcohol effect.

Light golden brown color of stool is not related to pancreatic cancer. Stool turns white when there is obstrution of bile flow. That can occur only if a cancer obstructs bile duct, but prior to that it should also cause pain. Also eyes will turn yellow due to jaundice.
Rest assured. Do not worry.
Thanks and regards

Would the abdominal ultrasound been able to see if there was a tumor in pancreas? The results that came back from abdominal ultrasound said normal size pancreas with no biliary dilation. Is that good?
