Question : I M 24 weeks pregnant my weight is still the same when i was 20 weeks pregnant not increased after tht is there anythjng to worry

I can understand your concern, but there are some facts about weight gain during gestation.


-Weight gain during gestation can vary from person to person and from one pregnancy to another.
-If BMI is between 19.5-26 (consider normal) the ordinary weight gain during pregnancy is 11.5-16 kg.
- Normal weight gain usually during the first trimester is 1.6 kg., in second trimester it is 5.5-6.4 kg. And in the third trimester on an average 5 kilogram. (it can change from person to person).
- In second trimester average weight gain per week is on an average 0.5 kilo.
- If baby is growing considerably and seems healthy in, scan, then there is no need to worry about weight gain.
-As such, the most important thing during pregnancy is not weight gain rather healthy and balanced diet is more important which is full of nutrients.

Hence in your case as such if your baby is growing well and healthy, then there is no need to worry about it.

If you are not gaining weight at all or having any problem then you should consult your treating physician.
