Question : feet get numb and then start to burn..very painful..i have stenosis..no diabetes..podiatrist says I have neururapathy... can lyrica help mel

I went through your History, you have been diagnosed as having Sciatica, right?

Sciatica can be caused due to either compression of nerve or due to Neuropathy. So I need to know whether any cause for your Sciatica was found or not ?

You said you have Stenosis . Where exactly you have Stenosis?

Lyrica helps in both Neuropathy and sciatica due to compression. But if your Sciatica is due to compression of the nerve , ideal treatment would be surgical decompression of the nerve.

Yes Lyrica can alleviate your burning and numbness but you could know that it is going to give you only symptomatic relief and not treating the cause .

Treatment of the cause is Surgical removal of the bulges disc.

But if you opt to take Lyrica then it needs to be taken for a long time from months to years and sometimes life long . But yes it will alleviate your burning and numbness.
