Question : I have numbness in both my legs and lower back pain.. been to the er and was giving a shot and pain meds .. what is happening

Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that lower back pain and numbness can be due to nerve compression occuring as a consequence of Prolapsed intervertebal disc . It is one of the most common cause for this .

Rest I think you should see a neurologist for the same . An MRI of LS spine is warranted to determine the cause . Plus physical examination like SLR test needs to be done .
