Brief Answer:
Neuropathy should visit a Neurologist.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You should visit a Neurologist about this problem. I think your husband has lost the feeling of crude touch. THis is generally seen in neuropathy. It may be because of nutritional deficiency or some other cause.
Only Neurologist will be able to help him with right kind of medications. He should not walk without footwear. Dizzyness is accompanying symptoms which goes in favor of neuropathy. We should also assess the blood supply to the nerves and periopheries.
Hope this is helpful in a direction.
