What Causes Numbness In The Hands And Feet In A Hypertensive Person With Diabetes?
Question: My son in law , age 35, active and fit. Dx with Hypertension. takes his medications. Also pre diabetes.He has numbness in his hands and feet and now his lips. He is getting no where with his doctor. He says his hands feel like nerve pain, feet are swollen and hot when he wakes up, and tips of first two toes are numb. Also fogginess and lack of coordination in the morning. also has pins and needles in scalp and arms

He is only taking metroprolol for blood pressure. She said he was only pre-diabetic and no medication was necessary just diet. He is careful about what he eats and is in good shape. He is very active and works two jobs. He does not smoke, drink or do any drugs. Good family man with 3 children.
