Brief Answer:
Wrist immobilization

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. It appears to be acute carpal tunnel syndrome.
2. Wrist immobilization. If progressive, corticosteroid and surgery maybe necessary.
3. Cold therapies or heat application could reduce pain.

Surgical decompression maybe necessary if numbness and pain progresses.

Presently, try complete wrist immobilization. Take a flat board, wrist size and put it on palm side and use bandage to fix it with wrist and palm and immobilize it.

Painkillers can be taken like ibuprofen. Of swelling starts or it progresses, you will need to meet your doctor for corticosteroid injections and surgical decompression.
Also take vit B12 supplements.

Cause many times not known. Could be vasculitis, abnormal position, etc.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
