Question : Just the top of my second toe on my right foot is numb. It has been since Thursday (today is the following Monday). The only thing that I can think of is that I wore a higher-heeled wedge sandal than that to which I am accustomed. All my shoes are thong-style -- have a strap between the big toe and the second toe. The only difference is that all my other sandals are flat, and this pair were high-heeled wedges. My left foot is just fine. I have been wearing flats since Thursday hoping to see improvement. I have except for the top (and, by that, I mean the entire top of the second toe from the base of the toenail around to the same level on the back of the toe and the sides). Do you think it's permanent? Will I be able to wear my thong sandals again?
Brief Answer:
This is not permanent
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
These numbness over your second toe seems to be due to temporary compression of nerve fibers. Do not worry , this is not permanent . Taking methylcobalamin supplements will be helpful in recovery.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
