Question : sir I am going anti TB therapy taking akurit 4 for starting two months course.is it compulsory that the urine color will come orange.sometimes when purchased new medicine of same brand akurit 4 the urine comes in light orange colored So is it ok or as it is side effect we have to ignore that please advice.

Brief answer....it is normal and hence nothing to worry
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Red or orange colour imparted in urine on consumption of anti TB drug is due to RIFAMIPCIN present in the combination.
Colour appears red if urine is concentrated due to less consumption of water while it becomes light read or orange if urine is diluted due to excessive consumption of water.
Nothing to worry as it is normal.
Keep taking your medicines regularly as advised by your doctor.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

sir so it has nothing to take with the medicine as I was getting doubt that the medicine may be fake ,hence raised the Query, I continuously taking medicine empty stomach with little water four tablets of akurit 4.second thing my how much time it will take for lymph node to regress as I am going anti tubular Lymphadenitis treatment for six months, already one and half month completed

                                    Hello,
Best way to remove the doubt of fake medicines is to take the XXXXXXX of medicines also along with the purchase of medicines. No chemist would give you fake medicine, once you ask for the XXXXXXX
Lymph nodes do regress in 6-8 weeks but you may still be left with some lymph node swelling after the end of treatment. It doesn't mean that TB is persisting.
Healed lymph nodes may remain there for many years.
Main thing is to complete the treatment as advised by your doctor.
Thanks

                                    Hello,
Although it is not dangerous to go for repeat X ray but frankly speaking there is no need for it.
Relax and carry on with your anti tubercular treatment.
Thanks

                                    Hello,
There is no way to know by yourself whether treatment is working or not, since you never had any symptoms before start of treatment.
Generally treatment is completed for 6 months and almost everybody gets cured of it,once complete treatment is taken regularly.
Nothing is to be done at the moment.
Just follow your doctor and complete the treatment.
Thanks
