What Causes Oval Pink Spot On Breast?

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Oct 2014
Question: My daughter has an oval pink spot on the top of her breast. It does not itch and is mostly flat, maybe slightly raised. She is 13 years old. Do you know what it could be? I am very scared it may be something serious since it is on her breast.

Brief Answer:
Limited to the skin surface alone!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this spot and all the troubling thoughts that this has caused you and your daughter. I have reviewed the information and the image.

This spot represents an inflammatory reaction to probably an irritating agent. I will like to let you know that this is solely limited to the skin and has nothing to do with the breast tissue itself.

Go on, use the cortisone cream and am sure all would be fine soonest. Update me about the progress as soon as you get some new information.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
