Brief Answer:
Could be due to muscle strain( nor muscle sprain)

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ,
I am Dr. Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.

In my opinion your shin pain is likely to be due to strain ( not sprain) on foot and leg muscles ,which are repeatedly put into action in badminton. Let me know if the pain increases after playing or not.

I suggest no active sports for 3-4 weeks and then gradually restart play. Take Vit E & Vit D supplementation to boost your muscle power.

I hope to have answered your question. Please feel free to ask any further question.

I have military interview from 3rd to 7th of May, and I am looking forward to it. Only if I stop playing of having physical exercise, I may not perform. I have been a sports player since childhood, (national player in taekwondo) but these sprains scare hell out of me. Please recommend some boost up muscle power or precaution if any? As I am already having multivitamin tablets.

these pain arouse 2-3 days ago, previously only toe part had sprain in the morning after i wake up, and never during play time or day work. Yesterday, small part of knee also was having sprain.

Brief Answer:
Take vitamin D and VitbE supplementation and support while playing.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel orthopedic surgeon.
There is no.medicine to prevent sprains. I suggest take.vit D and Vit E supplementation along with multivitamins. You can use some support while running and playing sports.
Since you had sprain on waking up I suggest you get S uric acid done, and if it is normal, then take some pain killers for 10/days. If uric acid is high then you may need treatment for it. I would advise against protein supplements.
