Question : I am experiencing a dull continuous pain (with a feeling of bloating in the abdomen) that has worsened over the last few days. Today I have not passed gas or had a bowel movement so I am worried that this is something I should go into emergency for?

The pain is on the upper right side just under the rib cage and the pain radiates around to the back. Several days ago the pain was on both sides. My urine today has been much darker than normal.

There is referred pain to the back and have dark urine.

Such an occurrence of symptoms is suggestive of kiney problem or pancreas affection ( reference of pain to the back) and rarely ulcer on the posterior t
Yes, I think you should visit ER at once.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen will give the most probable diagnosis, along with tests of blood and urine.
