What Causes Pain And Discomfort In The Lower Back?

default
Posted on Thu, 3 Nov 2016
Question: I have lower back tightness and discomfort only when pressure is on the area (sitting, lying down). It feels as though I'm resting my back on something like a rolled up towel or piece of clothing that I'm resting on. Nothing I would describe as a pain-just discomfort. No problems standing, walking, bending, or heavy lifting. Thank you. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Supportive care,

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

i read your question and i understand your concern. Pain and discomfort in lower back with no trauma history, no fall, not correlated with walking, standing, heavy liftign etc is nothing to worry about and is likely a muscle spasm needing some supportive care and home remedies.

I would like you to maintain good posture while sitting , avoid prolonged sitting, keep the back supported fully with no space between back and the chair, use back care and doughnut chair. Take some tylenol and some muscle relaxant for the pain. Get a massage and rest for a while . Keep the pillow thin and try to lie straight while resting for as much as possible. if the issue persists, visit a doctor nearby and let them run some tests tof igure this out.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
