Brief Answer:
There could be occurred some complications.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query.

See it is usual for some amount of pain after resection of Polyp but that pain should not be very severe . If it is too much of pain then we need to consider other possibilities like

1. Infection of the Colon.
2. Injury to colon during Colonoscopy : This injury can be from mild erosion to perforation of colon .
3. Persistent bleeding from the site of polyp resection.

So in view of severe pain and persistent rectal bleeding I recommend you to consult your doctor again . You may require a CAT Scan or a repeat Colonoscopy to check if any complications have occurred.

Kindly get it done and revert back for any further clarifications.

Regards.
