Brief Answer:
Osteoar

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Thanks for the query.

According to your history, you seem to be suffering from Osteoarthritis of the knee. It is seen in older age individuals, tends to cause stiffness of the knee, improved with walking for sometime.

This is joint inflammation due to age related changes causing the pain.

I would advise my patient to get standing Xrays of the knee to confirm my diagnosis. Of it is Osteoarthritis, I would tell my patient to avoid squatting, cross leg sitting, kneeling or climbing stairs. I would advise a knee cap for relief and pain killers. If there is knee instability and deformity seen clinically or on Xray, I would advise MRI knee. Hyaluronic acid and Steroid knee joint injections are also very good for relief.

Apply warm packs. Kindly follow the precautions.

You can take Tablet Paracetamol 1000mg thrice a day for pain relief or Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day. Paracetamol is light on the stomach whereas Ibuprofen long term can cause stomach ulcers and kidney damage.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Brief Answer:
Tablet Paracetamol twice to thrice a day is better

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Since you are on a lot of medications, it is better to take analgesics like Tablet Paracetamol or Acetaminophen twice or thrice a day. This will give adequate pain relief. This medicine is safe on the stomach and kidneys in comparison to Ibuprofen which may cause drug reactions with the rest of the medicines.

I hope I have answered your query.
