Question : My lips are swollen and slightly painful. My tongue is painful. I am not allergic and have not taken any medication to cause a reaction.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to allergy from some thing you exposed or ate. Possibility is there for allergy to some thing you are not allergic to before also.

Taking over the counter anti histamines like benadryl and corticosteroid cream like hydrocortisone for local application will be helpful.
