What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Anus?

Question: Hello Doctor,
Wanted to update you that the string like hardness has decreased in size a little but still it starts just from the outside of the opening of the anus and extends a little into tha anus. The pain and tenderness on this portion is very bad and sometimes it becomes intolerable. I am really fed up of my condition and want to lead a normal life once again. I have scheduled for a MRI this Tuesday. It has been a year since the scar formed . I am considering getting a scar treatment injection if the MRI doesn't show anything. Please suggest if I should go ahead with scar treatment injection or consider something else.

Brief Answer:
Wait till MRI and actual clinical correlatiin.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your quer.
Since this is almost a year that surgery was performed and the scar has been causing pain, it will be worth trying the local injection therapy or even consider partial near-total removal of the scar after the MRI report and a clinical examination by a Surgeon.
Let us wait till the MRI report is available and knowing the present status of the fibrosis by per-rectal digital examination and ano-proctoscopy for correlating with symptoms of pain so that the most fruitful treatment be tried.

Brief Answer:
Does the spot/area shown on MRI correlate with the area of pain you feel?
Detailed Answer:
Seen the MRI report.
The best part is that there is no collection of sany sort.
There is scar formation at the anal verge from 4 to 7 O'clock position means on the left and back (posterior).
Is the pain at the same spot/area marked in MRI or at different place?
