I clean for a living, and it does bother me, my indexfinger and ringfinger are sensitive, i carry buckets, vaccum cleaner, etc. also have to wring out rags. I had a dog pull me unexpectet about 3 month ago and the leash cut right into my ringfinger, had a swollen hand, black and blue for about 3 weeks, could not move my ringfinger then.

Brief Answer:
Hematoma most likely , ultrasound examination suggested .

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the details & photograph .

* Possibility of hematoma ( blood collection following stretching injury ) with
nerve compression .
* Ultrasound examination of the local part required .

* Suggestions for present condition
- Alternate application of ice pack & heating pad for 10 minutes each 4-5 times
per day , keep it clean .
- Manage work pattern in that way so that there is least amount of direct
pressure or pulling over the part .
- Keep watch on the size of the lump .
- Keep blood sugar levels under control ( to prevent possible infection ) .
- Analgesic tablet tylenol ( 500 ) mg in case of pain .

Hope this will help you .
Welcome for further assistance .
Wishing you fine recovery .
Regards .
